SEO Experience is difficult to gain. And here's why - there are no formal schools and certifications in the industry. There are no colleges. There are no universities. There is no formal qualification you get after 12 months study or evening classes - it's a wild west in the SEO field.

It's mainly due to the emerging technology - and how there are no real 'cast iron' rules with SEO. Google isn't going to publish the formal rules so you can rank top of the search engines, and so, its hard to draft a formal 'test' or list of rules you must follow. One thing’s for sure, SEO Experience comes down to one thing - testing.

That's right, to gain the knowledge and to rank in search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing - you need to test and experiment. And I don't mean on your clients websites and charging them for the privilege. You need to setup your own websites - register domain names, source hosting, write content and see what works and what doesn't.
